Hanny Albrecht, Ursula Stritzinger and René Huber presented the research results of their projects in Pro²Future Area 4.2 – Cognitive Production Systems, at the European Regional Meeting of the Polymer Processing Society (PPS), Sept 30th – Oct 3rd, 2024, in Ferrol, A Coruña, Spain.
In this research work, they implemented a hybrid (analytical, numerical and data-based) modelling approach for twin-screw extruders and corrugated pipes. In addition, the assessment of product quality during polymer processing with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) was also utilized.
