Amer Kajmakovic, researcher of area 4.1 – Cognitive Products – presented his work at the 30th International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering (ISSRE 2019) in Berlin, Germany. Amer’s contribution, titled “Flexible soft error mitigation strategy for memories in mixed-critical systems”, demonstrates how well-established mitigation strategies (i.e. parity bits and one out of two architectures), can be combined, resulting in a novel flexible and resource effective soft-error detection and correction, which is suitable for its application in existing safety critical systems. During the conference Amer was able to discuss his work with internationally renown embedded systems experts such as Michael R. Lyu, PhD and Bojan Cukic PhD.
“Flexible soft error mitigation strategy for memories in mixed-critical systems” was coauthored by Amer Kajmakovic, Konrad Diwold, Nermin Kajtazovic, Robert Zupanc and Georg Macher. The conference proceedings are soon to be published and available via IEEE.
